CASE STUDY – RESURFACE LONESTAR PLASTICS

LoneStar Plastics manufactures all types of flexible packaging and is the fastest growing polyethylene film producer in the country. In 2005, LoneStar purchased an existing Alabama warehouse and remodeled it to meet their exacting standards. Part of the requirement was a superior floor that could stand up to the abuse of a busy manufacturing operation.

To meet the price and performance requirements, Kalman Floor Company proposed resurfacing the existing concrete floor with our premium Absorption Process® (AP®) concrete floor topping. The resurfacing process involves stabilizing the ground beneath the existing slab, epoxy-filling existing cracks in the slab, milling approximately ¾” depth of the existing floor
surface, and finally, furnishing and installation of approximately
¾” thick Kalman AP® concrete floor topping.

As you can see below, the resurfacing process with AP® concrete floor topping produces a beautiful, durable, highly productive floor that will offer years of service to its owner.
